As an update to the previous posting unfortunately my alternative motion to introduce a Notice of Motion - the ability for councillors under prescribed guidelines to have items placed on the council agenda - was lost at last nights meeting by a vote of 4/3 against with one cr abstaining and one apology.
Whist not unexpected this was still a disappointing outcome- i argued of the benefits of giving crs the full range of agenda options and against the overstated 'doom and gloom' scenerios that were countered with.

Thanks, Councillor, for at least raising this basic right of Notice of Motion. I am appalled at some of the ridiculous negative arguments. Unknown issues being raised, decided and buried in the back room - at what is, in fact, a quasi council meeting with, to my knowledge, no published minutes. Residents are often accused of being indifferent - this decision confirms that that's exactly how some Councillors want us to remain.
